PERFORMANCE EVALUATION OF THE REVERSE OSMOSIS PILOT PLANT: USING SODIUM CHLORIDE AND MAGNESIUM CHLORIDE

The conversion of saltwater and brackish water into fresh through desalination has gained significant importance as a solution to the worldwide scarcity resources. Reverse Osmosis (RO) method been effectively utilized generate from sources water. This research aims examine variables that affect performance reverse osmosis process. effectiveness membrane was assessed experiments explored impact varying operating conditions, such feed pressure, temperature, concentration, on pilot plant salt system (consisting NaCl MgCl2). selected used polymeric constructed FilmTec TW30-1812-50 spiral-wound module. results showed temperature concentration increased, rejection decreased. On other hand, transmembrane pressure raised, membrane's improved. revealed have performance. Among various studied, had largest effect product rate. As permeation flux also with rate 96% achieved at 5 bars. In addition factors, greatly influences solute content in final product.
